Royal challengers Bangalore have a mountain to climb when they take on in-form Sunrise Hyderabad
at their home ground Chinnaswamy stadium on Tuesday.
Hyderabad came on top at their last meeting which saw a thrilling super over victory; all credit goes
to Cameron White’s blistering batting. In their season opener they had defeated Pune warriors
India defending a low total of 126 runs followed by some good bowling led by Amit Mishra,
Thisara Parera, Dale Steyn. Bangalore who had beaten Mumbai Indians in their opening match was
completely taken back by Sunrise Hyderbad who according to many is the weakest team in this
year’s edition of IPL. But their win against Royal Challenegers Bangalore made it quite clear that the
IPL 6 is open.
Bangalore’s biggest concern is their utter dependency on the Chris Gayle who hit 92 off 58 balls in
the opening match against Mumbai. But once he got out against Hyderabad the whole confidence
of the team got crumbled. Virat Kohli and Moses Henrique played well to put up a good score on the
board. Captain Virat Kohli must be thinking to rectify those follies and try to uplift the moral of the
team when they Hyderabad.
Sunrise Hyderabad also have their own set of concerns, their biggest of them is the batting which is
not up to the expectations. They are missing fireworks in their batting line up someone like Gayle.
But they would be quite happy after the performance of Hanuman Vihari whose valuable 44 runs
forced their last match into the super over.
However, it is the bowling which is filling the gap for Sunrise Hyderabad and their subdued batting.
Dale steyn is in sublime form supported by Ishant Sharma. After their consecutive win in two
matches they will be high on confidence and will expect to repeat their performance once again
when they face Royal Challengers Bangalore on 9th April.
