Match 6 Preview: Kings XI Punjab (63%) expected to win against Pune Warriors (37%)
Alleged players from the supposed team performed dreadfully on Friday, especially the first batting order. Disappointing batting performance from the team having big names like Yuvraj Singh, Marlon Samules and Ross Taylor in its ranks couldn’t even bear to chase stumpy score of 127 by the opponents.
On the contrary Punjab being led by Adam Gilchrist, the Aussie marvel, is believed to play their first match on IPL6 tomorrow. Their heightened spirits brought them very far in IPL5 but for a scanty score they failed to qualify for the play-offs.
Punjab authorized some names like Luke Pomersbach and Manpreet Gony in the February auction and also signed Sandeep Sharma, Manan Vohra and Aniket Choudhary. They have a proper balance and a mix match of overseas and Indian players but they lack in Big Brand names.
Gilchrist will have to be at his best since his performance was not appreciated in the previous season, also the presence of players like Azhar Mahmood, Dimitri Mascarenhas, David Hussey and Ryan Harris would bring plenty of experience to their side.

To contest them are a new but a confident team of Kings XI Punjab, lead by captain Adam Gilchrist with his expected team Paul Valthaty, Shaun Marsh, David Hussey, Mandeep Singh, Azhar Mahmood, Gurkeerat Singh Mann, Parvinder Awana, Praveen Kumar, Piyush Chawla and Rajagopal Sathish.
