Match scorecard)
Team form
Lahore Lions: After winning two of their three qualifying matches, the Lions
lost their first match in the main round to Kolkata Knight Riders, and their
last match against Chennai Super Kings was abandoned at the same venue due to persistent rain.
Dolphins: The Dolphins have lost both their match, the
first one to Perth Scorchers, and the
second one to Chennai Super Kings. In the first match, they lost in a dramatic fashion after
Mitchell Marsh's two sixes in the last two balls of the second innings. In the second match, they gave a valiant chase to the Kings' total of 242 but then ran out of steam.
Venue
The
previous match at the Chinnaswamy Stadium was abandoned because of heavy rains, and there is a forecast of rain on Saturday as well.
Prediction
We predict that Lahore Lions will win this match easily, as long as rain does not play spoilsport. The Lions have a reasonably good bowling attack, where as the Dolphins bowling has been somewhat brittle and have a tendency to give away big shots to the batsman when under pressure. The Dolphins certainly showed a lot of courage when chasing the huge target set by Chennai Super Kings in their previous match, and might have won the match if the target score was less than 200. However, we expect that the Lions bowlers will be able to keep this potent batting line-up in check, and should come out on the top in this match.
