Kings XI Punjab are pretty much all set to proceed to the knock-out stage of the tournament. Delhi Daredevils are currently at the bottom of the points table, and are already eliminated from the next round. In a way, therefore, this match is as inconsequential as it can get, and perhaps also as predictable. Without a doubt, the Kings are the clear favorite to win this match, and they are expected to win with a handsome margin too.
However, even though Punjab have a clear upper hand, not all is lost for Delhi Daredevils either. One must not forget that they have lost twice this season so far, and both the defeats came against teams which weren't exactly table toppers. Their first defeat came against Mumbai Indians, who at that time were the cellar dwellers in the points table, just as Delhi Daredevils are right now. Their second defeat was against Kolkata Knight Riders, who were fifth at that time but were still struggling to find form in the tournament. So Delhi Daredevils can indeed find some inspiration from the previous debacles of Punjab - even though they are fighting a tough battle in a war they have already lost.
