Prediction: Mumbai (54%) predicted to defeat Delhi (46%) (Match scorecard)

Mumbai Indians have defeated table toppers twice in this season. They have a grand total of three wins against the remaining teams. Such is the unpredictable nature of the T20 format that Mumbai Indians have been easily able to take care of the Goliath, but have been unable to overcome the Davids. One of these "Davids" is the Delhi Daredevils - who are decorating the bottom of the points table yet again after another disastrous season. Ironically, one of the two wins that Delhi have this season came against Mumbai. Go figure.

Mumbai are still not out of the playoffs yet, and so they have everything at stake to play for in this match. They have a very good chance of winning this one, but they will miss their ace bowler Lasith Malinga for the remaining matches, who is back with the national team for the ongoing tour of England. In his absence, Praveen Kumar has filled in nicely as the strike bowler. Mumbai finally have found the right opening pair for themselves in Lendl Simmons and Mike Hussey, but this discovery came a little too late. For now all they can do is win the remaining games at home and pray to God that the rest of the results fall their way.

Cricmetric's current prediction success rate for IPL 2014: 26/50 (52%)
