IPL 2014 Match 12 prediction: Hyderabad (64%) expected to easily defeat Delhi (36%)

Prediction: Hyderabad (64%) predicted to defeat Delhi (36%) (Match scorecard)

In our pre-tournament ranking of the teams, Sunrisers Hyderabad had come out on the top, while Delhi Daredevils was ranked at the bottom. So it should not come as a surprise that our model heavily favors Hyderabad to win this contest. However, the performance of Sunrisers Hyderabad in the start of the tournament has been fairly disappointing, as they have lost both of their previous contests. On the other hand, Delhi Daredevils haven't been in top form either, but at least they have salvaged a win in one of their matches.

Kevin Pietersen will finally make his appearance for Delhi Daredevils in this season, and this should provide a boost to their batting lineup. On the other hand, Coulter-Nile is sidelined with a hamstring injury and this will weaken their bowling attack. Hyderabad's batting lineup was supposed to be their strong point, but they haven't fired yet in the tournament. This might as well be the match in which they turn it around.
