Match scorecard)
The strength of Royal Challengers Bangalore in this tournament was supposed to be their batting. Instead, they currently have collectively the
lowest strike rate among all the teams. On the other hand, their team bowling economy rate is the
best in the tournament so far, and that has kept them at a respectable fifth position in the points table. Their top three players have been bowlers - Varun Aaron, Mitchell Starc and Yuzvendra Chahal. However, their big name batsmen are yet to play up to their true potential. They will be hoping that a change of scenery, couple with the fact that they will be opening the Indian leg of the tournament at their home ground in Bangalore, will help their batsmen regain the form that was expected of them.
Sunrisers Hyderabad are currently tied on points with Bangalore, but are ranked one lower because of inferior run rate. However, our model shows that they are slightly better than Bangalore and are the favorites to win this match. Hyderabad have batting woes of their own, and in particular their captain Shikhar Dhawan has been out of form. But their batting did show some spark in their
previous match against Mumbai. That, coupled with their solid bowling attack, should help them get the better of Bangalore in this match.
