Match scorecard)
The only match Chennai Super Kings lost was their
first match against Kings XI Punjab. The only match Kings XI Punjab have lost was their
last match against the then bottom-dwellers Mumbai Indians. That may not give any insight into what the outcome of tomorrow's match will be. It does, however, point to a close, exciting match between the two very top teams in the tournament.
Not much has changed for the two teams since they first met in the third match of the tournament. Chennai have lost
Dwayne Bravo, but their depth has allowed them to cover for this loss without a hitch. Their well-oiled machinery is chugging along well and has annihilated the remaining opponents. Meanwhile, Punjab's hot batting may have cooled down a little bit, but then their bowlers have taken the forefront and kept them at or near the top of points table. Going by the recent form, Chennai have just a slight edge over Punjab going into this match, and this time Chennai should be able to avenge their only defeat against Punjab.
Cricmetric's current prediction success rate for IPL 2014: 15/27 (56%)
