Australia vs Pakistan
Prediction: Pakistan has a 57% chance of defeating Australia.
Pakistan has some real T20 heavyweights in their team. They just can’t win against India in a World Cup match, otherwise this team is as good as any other in this tournament. They have the right players, what they need is to hold on to their nerves and not make the sort of mistakes that cost them the game against India.
Wild Cards: David Warner has been in a tremendous form lately, and Australia will really need him to fire at that top if they want to overcome Pakistan.
India vs West Indies
Prediction: West Indies (60%) is expected to beat India (40%).
India hasn’t played a lot of International T20 matches in the past one year – just two matches (including the one against Pakistan in this tournament) to be more precise. What this leads to is an under-estimation of the player scores for India. However, the defending champions are no slouch either, and they have enough firepower to overcome India in this contest.
Wild Cards: Chris Gayle is the king of T20 format, and given India’s weak bowling attack, they should be very wary of Gayle, especially if West Indies chase.
