We will be generating the pre-match predictions for all the matches of the ongoing seventh season of the Indian Premier League. You can find the predictions on the IPL homepage. The methodology used for predicting the outcome of matches is similar to what we used for the World T20 tournament that was held last month, where we achieved a 65% success rate for the main league stage and knock-out stage of the tournament. We certainly hope to improve upon that in the IPL!
On the IPL homepage, you will also find match scorecards, up-to-date batting and bowling statistics, as well as some of the advanced metrics for evaluating player performances. Update (April 22, 2014): Pre-match predictions will now also be available on the scoreboard page of the respective matches before the start of the match. The predictions will be uploaded around six hours before the start of the match. For example, you can find the pre-match prediction (or a permalink to the prediction) for the 9th match between Sunrisers Hyderabad and Kings XI Punjab on the scoreboard page of the match.
